I didn't wanna wait in line
I pushed in front, thought it will be fine
shouting - not very ladylike
but, hey, I did it anyway and went about my day.
Then everything went wrong
I crashed my bike, was late all day long
spoiled my dress with blueberry pie
but, hey, I thought, well anyway and went about my day with
no understanding of the way
how lines suddenly get crossed and
how everything can go right or wrong
how everything you do falls back on you.
The following day things looked better
until the postman brought me a letter
the tax collector was on my tail
but, hey, I couldn't pay so I had to get away
when I fled my house I left the toaster on
after just two hours the house was gone
I realized this one was on me
and, hey, my dear, I don't know no more what to fear
I have no money, no place to go, no bed,
and then I hear that deadly viruses are being spread
I look up and a jumbo jet is falling from the sky and
oh my, we will collide with a huge burning asteroid!
